Group flight from Mexico - Yale Session 2 - 2026

Group Flight from MEXICO
Program Name: Eduexplora Advanced Pre-College
Airline: American Airlines (AA)

Cost

Reservation Code: YLYQRD
Deadline to confirm and pay: March 2, 2026.
Please go to: www.eduexplora.com/flights, and select your flight option.
If you choose option 1, please proceed with payment by the deadline.
Full Group Travel (Option 1):
- Includes Airport – University-Airport transportation.
- Includes Chaperones for the group passengers.
- If a flight is canceled or rescheduled, the airline will prioritize students with the same group reservation code. Because of airline restrictions, only if you choose travel option 1 will the same reservation code be assigned to the student.
- When selecting option 1, Eduexplora will collect the cost of air tickets, and you will be redirected to the payment site. Payment must be completed within the deadline to comply with airline requirements. If payment is not completed, by default, it will be considered that the student will be traveling separately and not with the full group flight. To comply with airline requirements, payment must be completed by March 2, 2026.
- Includes airfare, one (1) carry-on bag dimensions: 9 × 14 × 22 inches (22 × 35 × 56 cm), including wheels and handles, (1) Personal Item: One smaller item (such as a backpack or purse) is allowed and must fit under the seat (9 × 10 × 17 inches).
- Checked baggage must be purchased directly at the airport during check-in.
Partial Group Travel (Option 2 or 3 / Group Flight TO or FROM the US only):
Students who want to go only one way with the group flight must purchase their flight ticket independently, not through Eduexplora. Please make sure you mark options 2 or 3 accordingly so staff will be aware of what leg of the flight the student will fly with the group.
Keep in mind:
- Tickets purchased separately create a new reservation code (that will differ from the group flight).
- If a flight is canceled or rescheduled, the airline will prioritize students with the same group reservation code. Because of airline restrictions, only if you choose travel option 1 will the same reservation code be assigned to the student.
- American Airlines requires minor accompanying service when a ticket is purchased separately (Under 15 years old and subject to availability)
- Eduexplora is not responsible for providing chaperones or coordinating transportation from the university campus to the airport. Students are responsible for checking in or out of campus independently on the requested date and time when traveling outside the group flight.
No Group Flights (Option 4)- Students Check-in and Check-out independently to and from Campus:
- Students are responsible for independently checking in and out of campus on the requested date and time.
- Eduexplora is not responsible for providing chaperones or coordinating transportation from the airport to the university campus and from campus to the airport or any other place.
-
Airlines require minor accompanying service when a ticket is purchased separately. (Age
restrictions and availability vary by airline).
Payment Options:
- For students traveling both ways on the group flight (option 1), Eduexplora will be collecting the funds to facilitate the process and be able to hold the reservation for the group until March 2, 2026.
- Please go to www.eduexplora.com/flights, select travel option 1, and you will be automatically directed to the payment site.
- Once the whole group has made the flight ticket payment, United will be responsible for issuing the tickets and sending them to parents and students. Approx. date: By the second week of April.
Conditions:
- The ticket is not refundable.
- The ticket does not allow individual or group changes.
- Mileage cannot be used to pay for the ticket in the Group Reservation.
- 01 carry-on luggage and one small personal item are included.
- Group bookings do not allow for advance seat selection; however, the airline will do its best to seat the group as close together as possible.
- For group flight itineraries, only flights operated by the designated airline can be considered. Code-share flights are not permitted for group bookings.
-
Protocol for borderline Group flights
Individual tickets must be issued if group travel does not meet a minimum number of ten (10) paid passengers traveling on the same itinerary. Group flights require a minimum of ten (10) paid passengers to qualify for group ticketing. As of today, we have [15] confirmed students in this specific group.
If, at the time tickets must be issued, the number of paid passengers falls below ten (10), individual tickets will be issued instead. In such cases, the Travel Agency AWT will manage the ticketing process and issue the individual tickets.
Please note that pricing may change if group tickets must be converted to individual tickets, as group fares differ from individual fares and individual pricing is subject to availability at the time of ticket issuance (the individual fare may be higher or lower than the group estimate).
If a conversion to individual tickets is required, Eduexplora will notify families by email with the updated individual-ticket price and the additional amount (if any) compared to the group estimate and deadline to confirm they agree with the new price. Families must email Eduexplora by the established deadline and clearly OPT OUT if they don't want to continue with the process and pay the additional amount. If Eduexplora does not receive an email by the stated deadline with a clear opt out, Eduexplora will proceed with the individual ticket and any additional cost will be charged in the last program installment.
If the parent opts out (by the established deadline) of paying the additional flight ticket cost then the amount already paid for the ticket will be refunded.
If a family later requests a refund or rollover in accordance with Eduexplora’s refund/rollover policies, any additional amount charged due to the conversion to an individual ticket (for families who did not opt out) will be treated as a non-refundable airfare cost and will be deducted from the student’s program deposit when calculating the net credit or net refundable amount. For example, if the program deposit is $1,000 and the additional individual-ticket cost is $200, then $200 will be deducted from the $1,000 deposit, and the remaining $800 will be the amount used to calculate the net credit or refund under the applicable policy.
