What to bring and not to bring


What you should Bring



  • Clothing for temperatures ranging from 50 to 90 degrees F (15 to 35 degrees Celsius) and umbrella. Be prepared! The weather in the summer can be rainy and unpredictable.
  • A cell phone and charger
  • Wifi is available free of charge at the campus, however, it's recommended that students travel with roaming or a sim card.
  • Laptop + charger: please bring a computer for your academic course. Please note that Eduexplora is not responsible for lost or damaged devices.
  • US Powerlet Adapter (110V)
  • Backpack or Messenger bag
  • Personal health, toiletry items, and a container or little bag to carry your items to the communal bathroom
  • Bug spray – if you are especially susceptible to bites!
  • If needed, Contact Lens Solution & enough Lenses
  • Medications/ Specialty vitamins informed on the health form – enough for the 2-week program (unexpired and in their original, labeled packaging).
  • Supportive footwear for activities and excursions. Bring shoes that are comfortable.  We will be walking around campus, touring town, and local areas.
  • If desired, extra spending money and/or credit card (Eduexplora covers the cost of meals, transportation, and entry fees related to program-sponsored field trips and activities)
  • If desired, musical instruments, books, and board games.
  • If desired, a hair dryer, a small portable fan, a face towel, and shower shoes
  • If desired, Outfit for the Final Night: we will be celebrating to mark the end of the program. It’s a chance to dress up and have some fun! Please don’t pack formal dance attire.
  • Souvenirs from your home country: A flag/postcards/pins/sports jersey/candies, or anything you can think of from your home country to share with your colleagues, instructors, or staff if desired, and for a multicultural exhibition.


What you must not bring


  • No sheets, blankets, or bath towels are necessary; bedding and towels are provided as part of a weekly cleaning service. 
  • No valuable personal items (the program takes no responsibility for lost or stolen items)
  • The dorms are fully furnished, so please don’t bring any furniture! No cooking or kitchen appliances, such as refrigerators, microwaves or toaster ovens, or hot plates.
  • No pets of any kind
  • No personal transportation, including a car, bicycle, skates, or skateboard
  • No flammable materials, including candles, incense, matches, lighters, explosive devices, and fireworks
  • No alcohol, tobacco products, or any unauthorized drugs or unlabeled medications – violators  of this policy will be subject to immediate dismissal
  • No weapons of any kind, including knives, firearms, paintball guns, laser pointers, and other dangerous items
